"Last minute reservation lead me to this secluded cabin in the woods. 'Rustic' is as simple and self explanatory as the description will be. The host, Adam, is very informative and communicative and responsive given the rural area and connectivity of your 'city life' connections.
You will enjoy the serene nature surroundings, quietness, and how secluded Radiance Cabin is, away from all others. Conveniently close to the natural spring water refill. Everything about this cabin is private, if you do not mind being one with nature. Firewood is plentiful — given your charitable cash donation to the cause — keeping you and yours warm in the winter months! I will definitely come to the cabin again. Thank you for a wonderful stay, and see you again SOON!"

"The cabin is fantastic. It’s rustic, but beautiful and everything I could have hoped for. It’s well maintained, clean, modern, and the spring water is as good as it gets. Dense forest, private cabins, all the amenities you need. An off-grid 10/10.
Note: as a city dweller — and for all the city dwellers seeking a retreat off-grid — be prepared. This is a seriously off-grid place. You lose reception 10 to 15 minutes before you reach your destination down a gravel fire road."

"A very nice piece of land, it is a perfect setting for what he has done with it. You get a bit of everything the deep forest to open prairies. I absolutely loved the group cabins — beautiful! If you enjoy just unplugging and being in nature this is where to go. Make sure you do bring bug repellent. Thank you, Adam for sharing your land, with individuals like myself who just need a break from the hustle and bustle."

"We really enjoyed tent camping at Maidu Park Campground. We camped right on the edge of the large meadow with plenty of shade and sun. The fire pit and water hose were great. The property is beautiful with marked trails. Adam was very responsive to all of our messages and questions."
— Ryan W.
"Great location! Just as listed- Adam is a great host with wonderful recommendations! Such a beautiful retreat! Great for families with any size! Best place if you would like to unplug and be with nature."

"We spent the weekend at the Maidu Campsite with our 9-year-old daughter and Boxer, and had the entire place to ourselves — which made it feel even more special. Amenities were solid for a remote-feeling stay: fire pit, picnic tables, a clean outhouse, and nearby showers.
We spent time hiking around the property, soaking in the quiet and the beautiful surroundings. The real highlight came when the host stopped by and tipped us off to a creek just 5 minutes away — two small waterfalls and a spot to wade into the (very!) cold water. It turned into a fun little family adventure we wouldn’t have found on our own.
The vibe here is genuinely remote and tranquil without being hard to get to. Dog-friendly, family-friendly, and host was warm and attentive. We’ll definitely be back!"

"I loved staying on Adam's land. The property was gorgeous and Adam was attentive to any needs I had."

"We had a great time at the Shambala cabin over the weekend! It’s a beautiful rustic cabin in the middle of nature. You’ll get the feel of glamping (only wood burning stove for heat, no bathrooms in the cabin or running hot water (but flush toilet and hot water sink and shower in main house)), but you’ll be staying in a beautiful cabin with comfortable beds, a kitchen to prepare meals and a cozy place to relax.
We enjoyed exploring the area and hiking to the top of Dragons Nest Trail (get ready for some exercise!) There is so much land to see and we only saw a little bit. I imagine it’s beautiful in the winter months, too. Thank you Adam, and we hope to visit another time!"

"Adam has created a magical, sacred and powerful property in the forest. The cabins and structures are gorgeously crafted, and integrated with the forest. Adam was a very gracious, kind and the instructions on how to arrive to the property we very clear."

"This land is magical. It has the most beautiful trees and spring and variety of landscape to plant your tent. I stayed in a cabin that was huge with two very comfortable bedrooms and beds and a kitchen. It’s an eco lodge so electricity is solar and toilets are compost so be mindful of that but there’s also a guest flush toilet if really needed. So many trails to hike on. A real treat to be staying in Adam’s land."

"This place is amazing. We found hiding water falls while hiking the trails. My husband and I and the children enjoyed ourselves so much that we will definitely be back with the entire family and plan to book all 4 cabins. I totally recommend this place if you love nature and the outdoors. The log cabins are so adorable and Comfortable."
— Linda
"If you are looking for an off the beaten path experience surrounded by nature, you can ask for a better place! It really is choose your own adventure. The cabins have a sink with hot water and stove. However, there are outdoor firepits and miles and miles of trails. If you get a little lonely, there is a Cafe 30 mins away from where all the locals hang out. Your host Adam could not be nicer and accommodating. Just know this a place that is off a dirt road, off of a gravel road, down form a service road. If you don't read the directions you will get lost trying to drive there. Once you are there you will be in an extremely peaceful place. I can't wait to return this amazing property."

"I only have good things to say about Radiance Cabin and the land! The cabin is spacious, lots of light and beautifully built. Nice bedrooms, outdoor shower, large kitchen. We sat around the fire every night and watched stars on the deck. Hiked around the property multiple times and especially loved the lookout at Dragon's Nest. Adam was so kind to give us tips of where to hike and swim close by that were fantastic. We're already talking about staying here again. Highly recommend staying here. Thanks Adam!

"It was just what we wanted! Off the grid. Quiet. Beautiful. Silence. Relaxing. The beds were so comfortable. The best sleep I have had in a long time. The Yuba River is so close. Great for a dip. The cabin itself was set up beautifully. We wanted for nothing. They even had fans, though we didn't need them. The cabins were cool and clean."
— Jacqueline
"Beautiful remote cabins out in the woods as advertised. The lodging is well stocked with kitchen supplies and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay."
— Nathan D.
"What a special and amazing find. The cabins are (enchantingly, rustically) fabulous... Adam (and company) are an utter delight... the trails are beautiful (and plentiful)... the views are majestic... and the peace, privacy, and serenity uplift the body, mind, soul, and spirit.
Highly recommended!"

"Wow - this is a magical spot! The campsites in the trees surrounding the meadow are perfect. There's tons of hiking and swimming spots near by. We had a great time! Love the property and all the nearby hikes and swimming. Will definitely come back!"

"Shamballa cabin is a gorgeous cabin palace amongst a peaceful land. Kitchen, full big beds w luxurious couches tucked into 200 acres of hiking water and woods. Down the road 5+ min drive is a creek & waterfall for swimming. Hot showers & water toilets 30 second walk away at main house. Thanks for a great time!
— Mateo T.
"We had a great time at the Serenity Cabin. It was beautiful and secluded in the woods with everything we needed. We brought a cast iron pan with us to cook outside on the fire which I would recommend to anyone in the future! The bathroom was a short walk across the meadow. We enjoyed activities nearby Nevada City, Scotts Flat Reservoir, and the Yuba River at Edwards Crossing Bridge as well. Adam has created a beautiful property that is very lovely and relaxing."
— Colette W.
"It was a beautiful and peaceful place. The cabin itself was simple, clean, and nice. Just a heads-up that the bathroom and shower are not inside the cabin; you have to walk about 2 minutes to reach them. However, they were clean and the shower was ready to use."
— Hamid D.
"Second time we have been here. Amazing property, plenty of dirt roads and light off roading if interested. Great place for kids to disconnect. The lack of wifi is a pro for my family rather than a con. The kids went to go play on their bikes and explore. The actual cabin is well outfitted with a fridge, stove and three nice bedrooms. There is a main house on the property with wifi if you absolutely need it. We plan on coming back again."
— Theodore B.
"Great experience at Wisdom Retreat Center with our family. Adam was great in answering all of our questions prior to arriving. The cabin was nicely equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of firewood to keep the cabin nice and warm. Our daughters loved hiking, making smore's around the fire, and just hanging out in nature. Thank you Adam for your hospitality!"
— Israel L.
"My stay was amazing and Adam was very kind, would most definitely recommend!"
— Brian W.
"The Wisdom Retreat Center gets my highest recommendation. Beautiful trees, tons of space, great vibes, and enough creature comforts to stabilize your process while still being in touch with the land. Trinity Cabin was spacious (I was alone but a second person would have fit fine), homey, and had an above-and-beyond comfortable bed."
— Joshua O.
"This place is AWESOME! Beautiful. The nature is so nice. The steward is kind and helpful."
— Spencer J.
"Great, if you want some peace and quiet in nature and decent hiking trails. We really enjoyed our stay at the Shambala cabin. The peaceful setting and evening by the campfire made it especially memorable. Got to see a black bear up close which was a first for me. Very cool. Will return."
— Aaron

— Laura
"We love this place. Our dogs love this place. With acres and acres to explore, we never left the property. Adam answered any question we had, and he is kind and warm. The cabin was cool during the hottest part of the day and many of the trails we found were shaded. We were able to take two hikes a day, with our dogs having the freedom to be dogs. I hope that we have another opportunity to visit this magical place."
— Albert
